From Our Director

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you to all the students, staff, parents/guardians and community members for the warm welcome as I embark on my first year as Executive Director AIT. We had a fantastic opening and I must give the credit to the amazing students and staff here at AIT. Through our partnership with Anderson School Districts 3, 4 & 5, we continue to see our students thrive as they become college and/or career ready. Providing a safe, student-centered environment for all students and staff is of utmost importance. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to ensure that all students who attend AIT are college and/or career ready upon graduating from high school. This journey begins with a strong foundation in early childhood and continues through each students’ educational career.

Continuing the tradition of excellence of the Anderson Institute of Technology will always be a priority.  Through collaboration and collegiality with all stakeholders, I plan to be a continuous learner to help elevate the success of AIT. As a servant leader, I am available to listen and learn from each staff, student, parent/guardian and community member to identify pathways for continuous improvement of our facility and programs. My focus is and will always be what is best for students.

Using information obtained from a Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment, we are able to converse with local business, industry and higher education to determine the employment needs for our area. Through these partnerships, students may be involved in Work-Based Learning, apprenticeships and internships. We also encourage students to participate in dual-credit opportunities so they can obtain Carnegie Units and college credits towards graduation and post-secondary education. 

Thank you for the opportunity to serve the students, staff and AIT community. I look forward to working alongside each of you to ensure our students grow into productive citizens in an ever changing world.  I hope to see everyone at our Open House on August 21^st, 2023 starting at 5:30pm.
